Drag & Drop operations

The Collmate user interface supports several Drag & Drop operations:

Moving collections

To change the position of a collection in list of collections, you should press and hold down SHIFT or ALT, select the collection with your mouse and move it to its new place.

               - Hold down SHIFT to place the selected collection into target one;

               - Hold down ALT to place the selected collection near the targer one.

Moving items to another collection

You should select the items you need in the list of items and drag them to the destination collection in the package tree. If the destination collection and the items being moved have various sets of additional attributes, the items move/copy wizard will be opened automatically.

Copying items

You should select the items you need in the list of items, hold down CTRL and drag them to the destination collection in the the package tree. If the destination collection and the items being copied have various sets of additional attributes, the items move/copy wizard will be opened automatically.

Settings the status "Loaned"

You should select the items you need in the list of items, hold down ALT and drag them to a contact in the package tree or to the Contacts section (if you want to assign items to a new contact). After that you should confirm the operation by either clicking the [OK] button or pressing Enter in confirmation dialog box.

If the selected item(s) is already loaned to another contact, it will be reassigned to the new contact.

Setting the status "Returned"

You should select the items you need in the list of items, hold ALT and drag them to any collection in the the package tree. After that you should confirm the operation by either clicking the [OK] button or pressing Enter in the confirmation dialog box.
